Hey Bobby - Just wanted to tell you I heard you at Broussard's on Saturday night. I'm the leader and clarinetist with the brass band that played the second line from Broussards to the after party on Burgundy St. Man, y'all really rocked it. As a musician, I know what it takes to put something like that together. And then to play cover songs with spirit. As a former denizen of the nation's capitol, I always appreciate a taste of that DC Go-Go sound (a la EU's "Doin' the Butt"). Hope to see y'all at another wedding before long. When people ask me for the name of a good cover band, I will def'ly refer you. |

Lisa and Bobby, I hope you had a wonderful day and that everything is going well! Patrick and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary on July 26 and remember the amazing reception you played. I attended a beautiful wedding reception held at the Audubon Tea Room. I was already very impressed with the food, service, decor and all. I had no idea how amazing Bobby J and the group were...... Oh my God.... I actually had to stop the conversation just to appreciate the sounds and mood they produced. When the second set kicked started, nobody could sit down. People of all ages were on the dance floor - smiling, singing and dancing....all the way until the last song was played. They really made it a special occasion that we'll never forget. Thanks Bobby and Lisa and all the band. You guys ROCK! |

I want to sincerely thank Bobby J, the Horn E. Horns, and the Stuff like that Band. Hell, I'll even thank whiteboy John for completing the act. You guys brought so much heat you almost melted the whole mountain away. Top notch. You know you had a good time when your back screams as loud as you did the night before and your feet are swollen from your boogie shoes. Maybe next time I'll actually be invited! This group is the most talented, energetic group of musicians and entertainers to grace this little mountain town all season. We look forward to your return and hope that it's soon. Hope you all got out safe and sound. It was great meeting you and look forward to seeing you all again. Keep in touch. |

Lynley McCann New Orleans, LA (Received 1/12/11) I almost forgot!! My aunt attended a function for the Pontiff's a short time ago and raved about what a great time she had and how awesome the band was!! When my mother asked her who they were she replied that she didn't know...Bobby...something. My mom smiled and said, "Bobby J and Stuff Like That?" She said, "Yes, how did you know?" My mother said, "Because that's the band that we chose for Lynley's wedding." My aunt then just sopke about how much fun you guys were and how they had an incredible time! Talk to you soon. |
